Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray.
- Combine flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed, then pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish without spreading it out to help achieve a gooey center.
- Mix the brown sugar and hot water in a separate bowl. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, then carefully pour this mixture over the batter without stirring.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, until the top is firm and the bottom remains like a luscious chocolate sauce.
- Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
