Instructions

  2. Combine flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed, then pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the batter is smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish without spreading it out to help achieve a gooey center.
  4. Mix the brown sugar and hot water in a separate bowl. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, then carefully pour this mixture over the batter without stirring.
