Creamy, cheesy green bean casserole with tender potatoes and a crispy topping, perfect for family dinners or holidays.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and blanched
  • 2 cups diced Yukon Gold or red potatoes, parboiled
  • 1 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup butter or ghee
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, pepper, and pinch of nutmeg to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or fried onions for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté onions and garlic in butter until golden.
  3. Mix green beans, potatoes, sautéed onions and garlic, soup, and cheese in a large bowl.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  5. Top with breadcrumbs or fried onions.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
