Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked turkey, shredded or cubed
  • 4 cups prepared dressing (or stuffing)
  • 1 ½ cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, diced (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 cup milk or half-and-half
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Sauté onion, celery, and carrots in butter until softened, adding garlic at the end.
  3. Mix turkey, dressing, sautéed vegetables, and seasonings in a bowl.
  4. Stir in broth and milk, then transfer to the casserole dish.
  5. Top with breadcrumbs or crushed crackers and dot with butter.
  6. Cover and bake 25–30 minutes, then uncover and bake 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
