- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 24 pink candy kisses
- Optional: 3–4 drops pink food coloring
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, and optional almond extract and food coloring.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients.
- Scoop dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Immediately press a pink candy kiss into each cookie. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
