Description
A vibrant Cajun Seafood Boil, loaded with shrimp, crab legs, and corn, drizzled in a delicious garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds of shrimp, deveined and shells on
- 2 pounds of crab legs, snow or king
- 1 pound of small red potatoes, halved
- 1 pound of corn on the cob, cut into thirds
- 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
- ½ cup of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
- 1 lemon, halved
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: ¼ cup of hot sauce
Instructions
- Start by filling a large pot halfway with water. Add salt to taste and the halved lemon. Bring it to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, add the halved red potatoes. Cook them for about 10 minutes until they start to become tender.
- Next, toss in the corn and smoked sausage. Let them soak in the boiling water for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and crab legs to the pot. Cover and allow everything to simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- While everything cooks, melt the unsalted butter in a separate pan over medium heat. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Then add in the Cajun seasoning.
- Drain the cooked seafood and vegetables in a large colander and transfer them to a serving platter. Pour the garlic butter sauce all over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with additional lemon wedges and hot sauce on the side.
Notes
Feel free to swap in ingredients based on your preference; consider adding mussels or clams for a heartier boil. For healthier options, use cauliflower instead of potatoes.
