Description

Soft, chewy cinnamon cookies with warm spice, perfect for home baking or festive occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons white sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy, then mix in egg and vanilla.
  3. Fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until just combined.
  4. Scoop dough into balls, roll in optional sugar, and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft. Cool on wire rack.
