- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated or minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
- Optional: vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for a stir-fry touch
Instructions
- Start by cubing the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger.
- Let the chicken marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours).
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken along with the marinade.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is fully cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
- To serve, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, substitute with tofu or tempeh and consider using a low-carb sweetener.
