Garlic Steak Bites and Potatoes

Description

A delightful combination of tender steak and crispy potatoes, perfect for weeknight meals or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 pound of baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for some heat, or a splash of lemon juice for brightness

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the baby potatoes and slice them in half or quarters.
  3. Toss the potato pieces in a large bowl with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, half the minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  4. Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast for about 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Mix the steak cubes with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the rest of the minced garlic in a separate bowl.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned steak cubes in a single layer.
  7. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  8. Add red pepper flakes just before the steak is fully cooked and toss for an additional minute.
  9. Combine the potatoes and steak in a large bowl, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, use lean chicken or turkey, or sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes.
