Hot Honey Everything Glazed Chicken Thighs

  • 4 chicken thighs (skin-on, bone-in)

  • 1/2 cup pure honey (raw or pasteurized)

  • 12 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • Zest of 1 lemon or orange

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Prepare Chicken: Pat chicken thighs dry, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  • Make Hot Honey Glaze: In a small saucepan over low heat, warm honey. Add chili flakes, garlic powder, and citrus zest. Stir for 3–5 minutes, keeping it gentle—do not overheat.

  • Glaze Chicken: Brush the chicken thighs generously with the hot honey mixture.

  • Bake: Place chicken on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30–35 minutes until fully cooked, brushing with extra glaze halfway through.

  • Serve: Let rest 5 minutes. Drizzle any remaining hot honey over the chicken before serving.

Notes

Adjust chili for preferred spice level.

Serve with roasted vegetables, grains, or on a cheese board for a complete meal.
