Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Optional: sea salt for sprinkling, chopped nuts, or crushed pretzels

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, rolled oats, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Press half of the crumbly mixture into the bottom of your prepared baking pan.
  4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the pressed crumb layer.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce over the chocolate layer.
  6. Crumble the remaining mixture over the caramel layer.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before lifting out and slicing.

Notes

For healthier options, consider plant-based butter and dark chocolate. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
