Ingredients

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by melting the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t brown.
- Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly. Allow to come to a gentle simmer.
- After a few minutes of simmering, sprinkle in the lemon zest and juice.
- If you’re using Parmesan cheese, stir it in now along with salt and black pepper.
- Once everything is combined and the sauce is smooth, remove it from the heat and finish with fresh parsley.
