Description

Delicious mini grilled cheese Hawaiian rolls filled with melted cheese and infused with garlic butter, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 ½ cups of shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
  • ½ cup of butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Optional: Cooked turkey bacon or beef bacon
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a lightly greased baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally while keeping them attached and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread a generous amount of the garlic butter mixture on the inside of the bottom halves.
  5. Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  6. Place the top halves of the rolls back on and brush them with more garlic butter mixture.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 10 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  9. Allow them to cool for a few moments before slicing into individual rolls and serving.

Notes

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze them for up to a month.
