- 2 cups cottage cheese (low-fat)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- Optional toppings: pepperoni slices or turkey pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, fresh basil, spinach
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine the cottage cheese, mozzarella, diced tomatoes, bell peppers, onion, black olives, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the bottom of a baking dish to prevent sticking. Spoon the cottage cheese mixture into the dish, smoothing it into an even layer.
- Top with the remaining pizza sauce, then sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
